It's been a tough 2011. I haven't had a chance to write many columns this season because my mother has been sick and my family has been spending an enormous amount of time in hospitals and taking care of her. I certainly hope that 2012 will be better, and I am looking forward to continuing to write for, what I believe, is the best Steeler fan website available.
Unfortunately, the year has not started out all that well for fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers but, with the injuries the team has faced this season, I think their accomplishments were monumental, and they will be back next year - hopefully 100% healthy.
It was difficult to lose this last game and end the season, but that is how sports go sometimes, and we have no other choice than to accept it and look forward to a new season. As far as the Super Bowl is concerned, this pretty much sums up my feelings on the subject:
The Patriots cheat; I find Frisco plain yuckey
The Broncos have Tebow, who is phenomenally lucky.
When it comes to the Texans, I really don't care
The Packers have Matthews with his ugly, long hair.
The Saints aren't too bad. I do like Drew Brees
I think the New York Giants are a bunch of babies.
As the playoffs go on without Steeler Nation
I find it hard to look forward with anticipation.
We had a tough year, but we fought till the end
The Steelers will be back, you can count on it, friend.
But as we look to the Super Bowl, coming up fast
I will make my prediction; I will do so at last.
The fact is I simply do not know who will win
We can analyze until our heads start to spin.
I could truly care less who wins the big game
BUT IF BALTIMORE WINS, I'LL JUMP IN FRONT OF A TRAIN!
(Go Pats, Niners, Broncos, Texans, Packers, Saints and Giants! ANYONE but the Ravens!)
